My only criticism is that there wasn't enough special effects in it, which may be so as I'm sure the makers didn't particularly want to spend an extra million bucks just to keep me happy!!!
The characters are brilliant, the story line is ok but I think they leave things open on purpose for the follow film..
I think Wolverine was my favorite character, he is the lead though. The way he fights and long steel claws (adamantie) just pop out of his knuckles is brilliant, I loved it!!
The kid in it (Rogue) is that little witch that was in Piano, you know the one that snitched on her mother to Sam Neill and then got her finger cut off...yeah that's her, couldn't stand her then, not particularly keen now. Hopefully this part for her as Rogue will be the first and last and that they get a better looking one for the sequel.....

My favorites were Storm, Mystique and Dr. Gray, their chicks so they have to be my favorites. I've always been in to strong women characters in movies, I never liked the stupid ones that run through woods and then trip over a twig, to then find themselves then suddenly being hacked to death...fuck that, get nasty, kick back!!
I went up to the gym today and ran my usual 40 minutes, which didn't as it usually does, kill me this time. Do you know why?? I'll tell you, it was because I was thinking of this fabulous movie and all the different characters, it made me feel strong and that I could take on the world through my running abilities. Yeah all right I'm barking but you know, it's fun. And if I can get through my running by fantasizing that I'm a super human hero, then so fucking be it!!!
After my run I sat round the pool to get some sun and finish of my 4th edition of Harry Potter. There was a bunch of rather overweight women in the pool having a water-cardio class...please, like that's going to do anything. Anyway I was sat there thinking how funny it would be if I had "Storms" powers, then I could create a tidal wave and all these women would go flying out of the pool at tremendous speeds and land in heaps all over the place...what a blast that would be. I also wanted to be able to keep the sun out ALL THE TIME as clouds kept floating across to block it, so if I WAS Storm then I would have the powers to do that wouldn't I????
OK maybe I should stop now. But honestly though if you like sci-fi like me and action also like me, then your going to love this movie. It's not as good as 'The Matrix', a little more work and it could of been; but it's definitely entertaining and well worth a trip to the movie theater as opposed to waiting for it on video. You just don't get the atmosphere watching it from home....
