Fri June 16, 2000 - 1:40pm

So I'm 34 today, not THAT old but certainly not young.  Hey it's ok getting older, there's not an awful lot you can do about it, so may as well do it gracefully.  My mum called before, singing down the phone like she always does.  She sounded good, although she didn't want to discuss what Morpheus was buying me for a gift or where we were going for dinner this evening.  Yes I know that seems strange but my mother is a strange phenomenon.

Anyway so then Julie my best mate from Manchester called me and ALSO sang down the phone as she always does.  It was great to hear her voice, she's fab and I love to her to bits.  Her and Lisa (my other fab mate) have sent me cards AND a gift in the mail, so I'm very excited about getting that.

Morpheus has just called and will be home by 3:30pm which is a lovely surprise for me, as I know how busy he is at the moment.  I'd by lying if I wasn't absolutely dying to know what he's bought me......I'm so excited.

My friend Bridget and her gorgeous husband Ed (Editor of American FHM ) fhmus.com sent me some beautiful tiny yellow flowers this afternoon which are beautiful, I called to thank her and we got talking about stuff.  Unfortunately she has a couple of friends that are very poorly and one of them in fact passed away last night, so you can imagine how upset she is.  So I'm going to pop over later and sit with her on their deck and have a glass of wine and try and cheer her up.  She's off to Guatemala soon to do a story (she's a writer) on baby selling that is going on over there.  I'm so envious, she has such a glamorous life, all the fabulous places she gets to and the people she meets.  Apparently Lenny Kravitz was a right royal pain to interview...god I hope she's not going to be mad at me for saying that.
 

WHAT NOT TO DO: Don't drink Gatorade at 5:30 in the morning as a thirst quencher and then expect to return to slumber.  It ain't gonna happen, as me and Morpheus find out the other night, well morning....

Right I'm going up to the roof for an hour as it's really bright out there now and I need some sun people.....later!!
