So last night was fun apart from the journey (tell you later).  As expected our friends hadn't actually cooked, which is absolutely not a big deal because they both work mad long hours and we hadn't really expected them to anyway.  But me and Morpheus both sneaked a grin at each other when Carl pronounced that Sumiko hadn't arrived home yet.  So then we just KNEW we weren't going to be fed, not if Carl was the only one in the house anyway......
There going to kill me if they read this......
So...we drank a bit of bubbly, checked out Sumiko's diamond (they marry in Sept.) and then proceeded to HIKE to the Tapas restaurant.  Jesus it was like 30 minutes walk, which if you fancy walking is fine, but if your starving, like I am ALL THE TIME, then it's no fun at all.  It was worth it though, loads and loads of plates of little fab things to eat, really good food.  We managed to get a cute little table outside, so that we could watch the cute little people that live in Hoboken....sorry, very condescending of me!!  The heavens opened up just when our cab arrived (we decided to cab it back to Manhattan).  So this black dude turns up with the Bo Derek thing going on with his hair and I think his wife, she looked like a young boy, but I kept hearing him say honey and so forth.  Not the best looking woman in the world.  So we drop Carl and Sumiko off, then start to drive towards the Holland Tunnel.  We then stop on a corner, the dude guy gets out a tons of tissues, wraps them around his hand, climbs out the cab and wipes the front window screen.  I politely inquire (or is it enquire?) as to where the fucking wipers are?, for which she casually replied that "they didn't work"....alrighty then!!   So there you go, I was too tired to argue with them and as Morpheus pointed out, we were going to be in a tunnel most of the way.  Yeah but then we still have to leave the tunnel at the other end! which obviously and for most of the journey for the next 10 minutes I was crapping myself because the dude guy didn't know his way around Manhattan and couldn't see for shit!!!

The funny thing is about this tale, is that when we reached the apartment he gave me his business card for future trips.  Yeah right mate, maybe it's an idea to GET YOUR FRIGGIN WIPERS FIXED FIRST BEFORE HANDING OUT BUSINESS CARDS!!!

-----------------------------------------

So this morning I went with Sumiko for her wedding dress fitting.  That was a bad mistake, because as soon as I walked in I wanted to cry.  You see I never got to wear THAT DRESS, for my wedding.  Don't get me wrong I had the best day of my life and I looked great in my Armani, but it was a small affair in a registry office in my home town of Manchester, so not really suitable to wear a full flowing wedding gown.  But oh how I would love to wear one of those dresses. Girls loooovvvee to dress up, ask any transvestite!!  At little school we used to have dress up days every Monday morning,  I always wore the ballerina outfit, even though we were supposed to interchange each week into another costume, I HAD to wear that ballerina outfit. For some reason the teachers let me get away with this, they probably couldn't be bothered with the tantrums.  My mother once told me that one morning a new girl started at my school and she grabbed the ballerina costume out of the basket and proceeded to put it on.  I was on the other side of the classroom, saw this, bolted across, pounced on her and then tried to kill her.  My mum says it took 2 adults to get me off her.... Can you believe that behavior from me?  OH YEAH!!

Anyway, as I was saying girls have always liked to dress up.  So when it's the time to be wed, that's the best dress up day EVER!! Your all swishy, glittery, pretty, fairy like...absolute perfection for a girl.  So unfortunately it was quite traumatic for me to sit and gaze at all these beautiful dresses and tiaras to go with.  Sumiko had her fitting and looked like a princess, absolutely stunning.  I'd love to give you details but her future husband will read this, so I can't.  Be assured though, she is going to be a beautiful bride.  I very nearly asked if I could try a dress and tiara on, just for a laugh but I thought better of it!!  Maybe I'll go back this evening and break in, and have my very own dress-up night, I could take a couple of the girls with me...what do you reckon??

Jesus it's 2:30pm already??  Ok before I get on to my next segment I just want to say a big hello to one of my very first dedicated viewers "Perfect Banana" out there in California.  Hope your well my friend and that you take very good care of Precious when she gets there....all that flat ground, she might wander off and end up sucking face with Harrison and his Malibu pad!!

I was feeling bad because it's a beautiful day out there and I should be out running or doing some kind of exercise activity.  So how did I overcome this problem, well I've just finished off some chinese food, so of course I can't go for a run yet, I have to wait at least an hour....problemo solved!!

So it seems that yet AGAIN, we're having problems with number of guests and available rooms at the summer house.  My Kiwi friend has told others that he will be out at the house this weekend, but unfortunately he failed to mention this to me and now I've let out his room to my other friends.  Hey, what can I say, verbal communication is always a good thing when it comes to making clear what one's plans are...don't you think?

Ok I have to go and return some gross Victoria Secret underwear (looks great on Heidi, looks shite on me) at the post office.  I will probably then go and read my wonderful new book "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K. Rowling.  Fab book!!

I'll be back......
