Great day today, sat on the roof deck, with the sun beating down on us, reading the New York Times in complete harmony man.......

We usually try and get up to the deck by the latest 1pm, because after that, it's like the Germans have landed.  Seriously, it's great to watch, you see the sundeck loungers are grabbed pretty quickly and also there's only a certain amount of sun space on the deck, due to the overhead screens that shade parts of the floor, so 'would be sun worshippers" have a hard time securing a lounger AND a sun spot.  What they generally do is stand in the middle of the deck and stare at each person with such intent that you actually start to feel a bit guilty.  YEAH RIGHT....get your arse up here sooner mate and maybe THEN you'll get a lounger, in the meantime quit staring and go sit down somewhere.

I love it when Morpheus goes to workout inside and leaves his towel on the lounger by me, you get people constantly walking by, trying to decide whether the lounger is taken or not. Finally they ask, of course I say yes, then it gets even better because they then wait to see how long Morpheus will be  If he doesn't get back for any say 15 minutes, they scowl at me like I'm the worst person IN THE WORLD......I LOVE IT!

So, after a bit of confusion about this evening's plans, we eventually ended up going to a great party in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  The party was on the rooftop which had been decorated with hanging colored lights, proper dance floor, a bar setup and lots of extremely cool and gorgeous people.  The deal was you paid $5 towards the food and booze and that's it.  There were people serving at the free bar, so you didn't have to pour yourself (very impressive) and this woman who was spinning the tunes did an exceptionally good job..  It had been really well organised, except that the bathroom was on the ground floor which was 8 floors down.....phew!!  HOWEVER, if your in the know with people then you get to use one of the residents bathroom only 2 floors down.  His name was Steve, really nice guy, his apartment was fabulous, extremely minimalist i.e. bed and round table with two Philip Starck chairs and that was it, oh yeah and his bathroom of course.

We went with Run The Hun who knew Steve, plus two of Runs friends Poppy and her husband Chad.  She was adorable, tiny little thing, couldn't of been more than 5ft 2".  She wore these cool black cargo tight shorts and a funky see through printed top which was backless I think.  Her husband Chad, now he was a different story, he looked completely mid-western in his attire.  Knee length plaid shorts, tucked in T-shirt, shoes with SOCKS!!  Nice enough guy but
the complete opposite clothe sense to his wife.  He's a photographer as well, you'd of thought he'd know better!!!  Good night, enjoyed myself.
God yeah, before I forget we stopped at Manatu's on the way home at 6 for some steak 'n' eggs.  Great way to end an evening!!
