Must admit to not feeling my best today.  Had a little bit too much to drink last night with Grant and Lucy.  It's always great to see them, but we always end up talking over each other and then can't remember what we were speaking about.....whatever!!
This morning after my email reading, I watched over breakfast all my favorite programs taped from last night.  ER was by far the best, as it was the episode where Carol Hathaway flies to Seattle to see if it will still work with Clooney, and he's there, when she gets there and it's very moving and yes of course I bloody well cried.  I love happy endings, I am sucker for them.
Next week is the season finale....I am soooo watching that.

So today was lovely, Lucy came over and we headed to Cafe Deux Gamins for lunch, but as usual the place was packed, so we went over to a little french bistro on 6th Avenue.  We got some seats outside, had a beer and a bit of food and basically watched crazy New Yorkers walk by.  A young woman walked by completely dressed in black from head to toe, and also wearing a long black veil.  I couldn't understand what was going on.  She was tanned and very pretty, but surely she couldn't be in mourning.  Well, maybe she was, who knows, she certainly got a few stares.

So after lunch we walked over to 5th Avenue around 17th Street and shopped like good girls do.  Actually Lucy got a lovely black halter neck dress from Club Monaco, which she is wearing this evening for her 3rd anniversary dinner with Grant (there eating at Mercer).  I got a fab handbag, also from Club Monaco and a couple of pants and T-shirts.  Wasn't really intending to shop for myself today, but hey, I did, so there. I used to feel guilty about shopping and would always hide all the bags from Morpheus, nowadays I'm not as guilt ridden.  He always knows anyway.

So tonight we're going to Cricket's apartment for her flat mates (soon to be ex) birthday party.  I'm not really in the mood after last nights debauchery, but Buddy Weiser is coming over later and I know it would upset Cricket if we didn't show.  Anyway it should be fun and I do have some new pants to wear, so why not??

I especially want to see how Cricket and Christine work the room tonight, as apparently there's a whole bunch of cute guys going...great!
