OK, so this morning I did some mundane farty chores. I swear to god, I am so sick of emptying that garbage bin. No matter how much I clean it, deodarize it, the thing just still stinks. I must empty it every other day, so it's no like I'm being gross and leaving it stinking for days......nasty!! If anyone has any tips out there, bring them on.
After my chores and of course a bit of eyebrow plucking, (Oh by the way, I'm not working today, I was in yesterday, so took today off...OK??) I went to the gym saw all the usual crowd hanging around gossiping. Ran for 20 mins (god I hate running, yeah I know I say that all the time, but I DO), then some serious crunch work, then upper body work. Not the best workout, but not bad. Then after a quick shower I lounged on the sundeck and started reading my new book "A Certain Age" by Tama Janowitz. It's about a young woman who lives in NYC, and hangs around the Hamptons with her so called friends. She's desparate to get married to a rich man and have a wonderful lifestyle. It's ok, a bit silly, but not bad. I love to read, there's nothing worse for me than finishing off a book and not having one to start immediately afterwards, go on release your mind www.amazon.com
Later in the afternoon I did my big grocery
shop at D'Agastino's. I paid $177 for what seemed like not such a
huge amount of groceries in total. It's pretty expensive in there.
I was going to cook some fish with a big salad for us both, but when Morpheus
came home (I like to call him that name after "The Matrix", brilliant film)
he wanted to eat out due to the beautiful weather. Hey, fine by me
honey. We went to our local and favorite eatery at present "Uguale".
Sal the Manager is adorable and we always receive such a warm welcome from
him and the other guys. They've just bought outside umbrellas, so
we sat out and had a lovely meal. The only problem with the location
is that it's right on the West Side Highway, so the noise from the traffic
is very loud, we could barely hear ourselves speak.
My friend Cricket called, so we stopped
off at her digs on the way home, she ordered extra wine, so we sat around
and chatted to her and her soon to be ex-flatmate. We left around
2am, not exactly an early night but who cares, we had fun.
