So after being woken by our doorman telling me that a Richard?? was on his way up. Who the fuck is Richard I asked in my nastiest voice as he'd woken me up from a perfectly fabulous naughty dream. He didn't answer so the next thing is my buzzer goes and this RICHARD guy states his name and says he's here for the day class.....HHHEELLLOOO, go away scum bag, leave me alone, no teacher here, go bye bye. So I stormed downstairs and there's my favorite doorman Michael sat there looking so cute as usual, of course I knew then that it wasn't him as the voice didn't sound right. Anyhow apparently it was Mario who's generally a bit of a dick most of the time anyway, so Michael said he'll have a word, not if I find him first he won't. What's the point of having a doorman if the temporary guys let anybody upstairs, you know I was in bed, fast asleep with no clothes on...come on!!
Ok so after unpacking most of the crap from the summer house I headed to work, I must admit I was a bit apprehensive, not sure why, just was. Anyway that was a wasted feeling as it was great, everyone was there, no one made a fuss which is good, oh except for Sarah who's a doll, she always gives me big hugs and kisses, personally I think she got laid this summer, why? because she was positively glowingly radiant today.....go girl!!
So I sorted my desk out which looks lovely now, maybe a plant pot would be in order though. After whining about the non-phone situation and retrieving my old chair from production office I settled in quite nicely. Ty got back from her meeting this afternoon and we caught up on what's coming up, which is quite a bit considering I'm off again at the end of the month. Anyhow I'll move my departure date to Manchester from Oct 15 to 16 instead because we have our official opening night party on the 15th so I need to be there. Actually I saw one of our actresses for the new play today...maybe you've heard of her - Kyra Sedgwick you know Kevin gorgeous Bacon's Mrs. I missed the meet and greet that we always do so I'll introduce myself to her in the week, hope she's nice, sometimes there adorable but a lot of the time their snotty bastards...we'll see!!
So Roger the owner of the summer house gave myself and Morpheus a vintage 1692 Taylor Fladgate Port, so I've bought some soft cheese (naughty, I know I've got to watch my weight), a french baguette to start and Rotisserie chicken with salad as main. A perfect meal to watch our movie of the night "East is East" which I know my dad will be pleased about as he's been raving about this British movie. It's only just come out on video here, not even sure if it was shown at the cinema at all. Anyway it's supposed to be about an Pakistan family that live in Manchester in the 70's (my home town) and the whole arrangement marriage situation etc. It's supposed to be really good, so I'll let you know my opinion tomorrow...though I'm sure it's going to be fabulous, most Brit films are.
Oh yeah Coinstar, what a brilliant but simple piece of machinery that is. Yes yes I know it's been around for a while but this is the first time I've ever used it. Basically take all your coins (any American coins) throw them in, whoosh them around a tray, they drop down, then as you doing this, the screen above tells you how many Quarters, Dimes, Nickles are going in and also counts up the amount in $. It then spews out a voucher which you can either use to buy groceries OR like I did, get the cash from a customer service desk. I left with $48.26 cents, not bad eh??
I've just realised that I've either missed my sister-in-laws birthday or that it's real close. I'm still not to sure what to get her and to be honest my adorable hubby (her brother) is crap and isn't coming up with any ideas whatsoever. So girls come on give me a hand, what do I get an adorable woman who is so not like a sister-in-law, more like a girly girlfriend......
