OK so our Tivo arrived last night.  For the un-initiated out there a Tivo is a Digital Network Recorder to your home network. It provides integrated applications of a PC and VCR while digitally managing the content and operations of various sources. A Digital Network Recorder incorporates a hard disk drive to digitally record sources such as live television, cable or Digital Satellite Service broadcast. It offers unmatched convenience with high quality digital audio and MPEG-2 video recording. The Digital Network Recorder works with a service to receive data needed to perform certain tasks and to receive software upgrades. For example, It offers the convenience of random instant access to your favorite, recorded TV shows.

Yeah Yeah that's all very digitally described, but the basics are, that it is dead fucking funky and loads of fun.  You can watch your favorite horror film on LIVE television (now there's an oxymoron) and when the slasher slashes that dumb blonde bitch right through the gizzard you then rewind it back and watch it again in slow motion...cool or what!!  This is the future, this is TIVO!!

So that's what me and Morpheus did last night...play with our new TIVO, by the way if there are any Sony executives reading this, I'll take payment in VISA, AMEX or any hard currency.

TODAY
So even though a relatively early night was had last night, we still didn't move until midday.  I think Morpheus wanted a lazy day but then I mentioned going to the gym and I think the guilt set in.  So we both worked out and then I lay out on the deck for a while (really beautiful day today) with my mate Tracy, chewing the cud, and now we're in, watching Alien 50, and playing with the rewind and pause on our new TIVO...love it!!

It's my girlfriend Silvina's party tonight so I'm off to take a shower, have an early supper and go out and get completely lagered the British way...no different to any other way just sounded funny!!

P.S. I'm just watching the end of Alien 3 where Sigourney is about to commit suicide by jumping off the ledge backwards (fancy) into burning sulfur to kill the little baby alien inside her.  What makes me laugh is you can imagine the alien thinking as she's falling "fuck, it's a bit hot in here, I'm off", to which he then bursts out and she grabs him, "all right Bitch, get off me will ya...".  And now we're on the 3rd take of that scene due to my hubby and his new toy the TIVO!!...
