My Podiatrist Dr Zaiff was a scream yesterday. He prodded and poked, then examined my foot...joke!! No seriously he took an X-ray, then confirmed my break, gave me some extra bandages and tape to apply, told me that it would take 4 weeks, so skiing in Utah is out, then sent me on my way.
My only problem is that I can't use the gym for a month, he did say I could ride a stationary bike, so I guess that will have to do. So I really do have to take this diet seriously, because if not and also not being able to use the gym, well you can imagine what I will look like by February...nasty!!
So Morpheus will still go with Carl and Sumiko to Utah and I will stay here. This is a shame but then we are going to France skiing in March so it's not like I'm going to miss out completely. Anyway me and Candy have decided to totally pamper ourselves that weekend. We've going to spend day at Oasis Spa off 16th Street near Union Square. For about $200 yu get a half day package spa, this includes a mud wrap, a facial AND a deep tissue massage. This sounds like a perfect day to me, so all I have to do now is talk my husband into paying for it. I reckon that he would of had to spend the airfare plus ski day passes for 3 days for me anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem? What do you think? Any chance? I'll work my wonders on him this evening.
Talking about this evening my good friend Candy has given us a couple of tickets to the see the movie premiere of "Save The Last Dance" with Julia Stiles. She works for Fox TV and I think must be affiliated with Paramount Pictures whose movie it is. Anyway something to look forward to. So today I'm off to have lunch (I think) with my mate Tracey, then in the office around 3pm, then meet Morpheus at work at 6:30 and then head off to the movies.
I'm sure we'll also be meeting up with Kajagoogoo later on somewhere so it should be a good night.
Before I forget my good friends Bridget and Ed (Editor of FHM Magazine)
cooked dinner for us last night which was lovely and unexpected as they're
both sooo very busy all the time. Anyway this dinner I think was
out. The reason? Well I'll explain shall I. The night
after we got back from Mexico which was Saturday
6th Jan, we were pretty tired and my foot was aching so we went
to bed around midnight. Anyway at about 5am we both woke to this
very strange sound. We couldn't figure it out at first but it was
pretty loud and quite scary to be honest. Anyway Morpheus got up
and looked out the window and realised what it was. It was Bridget
and Ed stood on their mews rooftop opposite our window
throwing snowballs at the window. Oh yes very fucking funny I'm sure.
We both thought it was funny but I was pretty knackered and really wanted
to get back to sleep, so I told him to turn the lights knowing that they
would realise we were back and not still away. Of course as soon
as he did this Ed ran off back downstairs, soon followed by Bridget, it
was brilliant. So the next day I get this call from a very panicked
Bridget saying how sorry they were and that they thought we were still
away. Please, come on I would of done the same thing, why not, it's
fun!! Anyway I'm glad they did that because we got fed a lovely meal
last night AND riveting conversation. They also let us go up and
throw
snowballs
at our window but my aim was off due to my gammy toe......what a laugh!!
I must apologise for the lack of photos on Jan 1st, I'll get right on it.
Later......
