Morpheus missed his flight to Utah   this morning as he forgot to set his alarm and so it didn't go off (obviously!!).  So he spent 5 minutes having an absolute hissy fit this morning, then realised he could go online and re-book his flight for later on, so then he was calm.

It was sad to see him leave but also a relief so that I could get back to sleep.

The next time I woke (11am) it was to a call from Candy regarding time to meet for spa day.

We got there about 1pm.  I still felt like shit but managed to pull myself together.

The place has no door sign and the only way you know it's the correct address is by the number above the door.  The lady behind the desk welcomed us warmly and we were led into a changing room where we undressed, locked our clothes up and wrapped ourselves in the provided robes.

We then made our way to a beautiful dimly lit lounge with huge sinkable couches.  The room smelt wonderful and made us very relaxed.

I was called upon first, where I followed a very nice lady into one of the rooms where I was to have my body wrap.  OH MY GOD what an amazing experience.  First I had to put on paper knickers and get under the cover on top of this tall bed.  She then came back in and proceeded to brush me all over with a bristled brush to remove any dead skin.  Then she rubbed salt into me and left me to poach.  After about 10 minutes she returned to find me fast asleep.  I woke to find her rubbing a scented oil into my skin which smelt fabulous.  Next she brought this green mud mixture over to the bed, got a big dollop of it in her hands and then rubbed them together and onto my skin.  Jesus it was amazing as when her hands hit my skin the mixture was warm, the sensation was amazing!!

So the mud was smeared all over me, she left again for 10 minutes where I promptly fell asleep!!

Ok so after 10 minutes she came back, got this hose out, tested the water temperature on my hand and proceeded to shower me down while I was still flat out on the bed.  It's fabulous, just lying there with hot water rinsing your sticky body, great stuff!!  So I'm thinking to myself how am I going to get dry without having to move as it would be a shame to have to move after all this time just lying here?  This is where the bed gets very clever.  So I turn over with a very wet soggy towel on my back, she then gets a clean warm towel, drapes it over my back and removes the wet one.  She then asks me to just place my hands flat under my chest against the bed and slightly push up.  As I'm doing this she is removing the plastic sheet from under me where I then find that I'm now lying on another warm cosy fluffy towel.  How cool is that?  In fact because I was still sopping wet the towel on my back soon became a bit wet so she then repeats the whole process again until I'm absolutely bone dry and very warm and cosy.  GOD I LOVE THIS PLACE.

So that was the body wrap.  Next was the deep tissue massage, very different to the body wrap which had been soothing and relaxing, this woman pummeled the crap out of me which hurt but a good hurt if you see what I mean.  She was very good, a bit hippy and freaky for me, but still really good at what she was doing.  This lasted for an hour and I literally could not walk or function when I left her.

Next was the facial which was the best I've ever had, although when she was squeezing the blackheads she was very rough and it was quite painful.  She steamed and massaged my face for ages, it was great.  Then after that, with the same woman, I had my manicure.

So a great way to spend 5 hours.  Of course if you go, NEVER EVER make plans to go out afterwards.  Mainly because your completely knackered and also because it seems bad to put makeup on a newly fresh face!

We got back, order sushi plus movies (Coyote Ugly...not bad!) and crashed on the couch, it was truly a perfect day.
