Yes my boy Bouch turned up last night, he's over for the weekend and meeting up with Lucy (who arrives tomorrow) who has been in Buffalo all this past week.
He got here around 9, to find myself and Buddy Weiser already partaking in a few glasses of wine to celebrate the fact that it's December and that's what one does this month....drink, A LOT.
Morpheus was out with people from work, so it was just the three of us for most of the evening. Morpheus eventually came home with Jezz in tow, a colleague that might be moving over here from the London office. He seemed ok by the prospect but seemed a bit worried about what his wife would think. I told him that if he does then he needs to come downtown and not on the Upper East Side, like ALL the bloody brits do.
Clearly Jezz was itching to go to the pub, so him and Morpheus went and met up with Will (another colleague) and I sat with Buddy and Bouch for quite a while longer catching up and gossiping, until we got the call from Morpheus complaining as to where we were.
The night was long, although very fun and I think myself and Bouch called it a night about 8 this morning, which is clearly diabolical but we don't see each other that often and have a lot to catch up on, so hence the late hour. Not that I remember anything that we spoke about, which I guess is good as I'm sure secrets and confessions were brought up.
So today has been very hard and very painful. Poor Lucy arrived to find all three of us, (yes including Morpheus) sat around the house, looking like death. Morpheus was supposed to go in to work today but decided to work from home, mainly because he was knackered by being kept awake all night listening to me and Bouch gabbing on downstairs...poor thing.
So of course because Lucy had come straight from Buffalo she was very anxious to have a fun and wild evening, which clearly made me want to throw up, but one has to put a brave face on these things.
I mean I really didn't want to go out and neither did the boys, but we had to shake a leg for Lucy's sake, so we showered, dressed and headed out into the pouring rain to go to Voyage and nice newish restaurant on Perry Street, here in the Village.
I was hoping that it would be relatively easy to grab a table due to the awful weather, but to our dismay, the place was jam packed and we had to return back out into the wet rainy street. We decided on Nadine's, a fun brunch place down the road that is very gay, and very fun. I'd never had dinner there before and to be honest the menu wasn't fantastic, but it was a good night and after dinner we sat at the bar, consuming bottle after bottle of wine. You see all you need is a hair of the dog and your back on track.
We all eventually came home and me and Lucy stayed up chatting while both the boys passed out on the couches....aarggh, sweet.
I've just realised, it's Friday the 13th today, bugger, bollocks, that was close....
