So tomorrow we're off to Mexico which I'm very happy about although I don't look because I am massively hungover from last night...more on that later.
Now because we leave tomorrow for Christmas I've had to organise the gratuity payment for the buildings staff. Every year is the same, but we never keep records of how much we gave to each staff member, so in the end myself and Morpheus sit racking our brains as to what each staff member, including the superintendent of the building should get.
Don't get me wrong we don't begrudge giving them money, because they REALLY do look after us here, but it's just always hard to know how much to give them and seeing as there's 20 people to dish out dosh to, it can get a wee bit expensive.
Actually Morpheus was going to get a shitload of cash out of the bank tonight and yes it's only dispensed in 20's so we either give each staff member $20 or $40, and then a big one for Sheikh the Super because basically he makes sure that we have everything we need and that the apartment is always functioning properly, so we have to look after him.
I asked some random guy in the elevator once, which clearly was the thing to do as he looked very affronted by the question, but then he told me that he gives each of the staff members $100 each..... You know what I thought??? that he was lying through his big fat arse, there's no way, then again what if that's the amount you should give? Aw come on, I don't think so?
Ok so last night Kiwi, Candy and Buddy Weiser came over for a gift swapping evening and a bite to eat. I made chilli which on first taste was nice but it was way to oily so we all left it, nevermind.
Candy as usual out did herself, she got me some groovy pyjama pants, a cashmere covered bouquet garni thingy to leave in your underwear draw. She also very generously and fabulously got me a white Juicy Couture track suit which is to die for, I'm so chuffed. For Morpheus she got him a fab turtle neck chunky sweater in grey and some great thick socks, plus a gorgeous Paul Smith shirt, which he looks great in.
Isn't she fab???
Bob got me my very own pink star pillow with the word Princess on it and an old 70's book that helps women keep there looks as they get older. Cheeky bugger, sweet though. Kiwi boy got me, well, how does one explain this....ok I'll just say it, yup he got me a Rabbit Habit, if you don't know what that is, then it's tough shit I'm afraid, you'll just have to go and find out.
Morpheus didn't seem to mind, good job really. And yes I have tried it, it's amazing, right that's it, I'm NOT saying anymore.
Kiwi got ray a "Moto-X Cycle" which has a model guy attached that does all kinds of stunts. He had to charge it up last night, so he still hasn't played with it, clearly I'm excited about him driving that bloody thing all over the apartment.
So we stayed up, watched the finale of "Survivor" which was pretty good and had a really good night, with very good friends.
Right well I'm going to be off now, have to re-pack before Morpheus gets home because he'll do his nut when he sees how little room I've left him in the case, guess we are only going for a week, so I shouldn't need that much
Will try to do a couple of pages while I'm away on Morpheus's laptop but I can't promise....
