Go on, click on the picture above and check out our room? How cool is that man?
This my friends, is the Hotel Deseo, I probably shouldn't be giving you their web link because I want to keep this place all to myself, but guys, it's just beautiful.
I found this hotel in Vogue magazine before Summer and had ripped out the page and put it above my desk, waiting for the right moment to ask Morpheus if we could go for Christmas. He eventually sat and checked out their web page and agreed that yes it was quite breathtaking. So a couple of months later we were booked, which was just as well because of all of our friends that we met there, none of them managed to grab the suite (our room) for that period, because the both of them (yeah it's great, there's only 2) had been booked up for months. I had booked ours in August, so there you go folks, get booking. I'm going to book it for next year when I get back.
So as you can see it's all white, very Calvin Klein looking I think. I can just imagine Christy Turlington sprawling out on that white bed, looking all yoggerish and fabulous. I would of taken a self portrait of myself sprawled but I don't want to make anyone throw up.
I know I shouldn't keep going on about it because at the end of the day IT IS only a room but please, it's the best room I've ever stayed in and yes better than the St. Martin's in London. Look it's BIG, which makes it perfect, we have two hammocks , one that Morpheus is in and then one behind him on our other balcony. We didn't really use this because we wanted to be able to see the passersby down below so Morpheus's hammock got that view. Actually one day this guy below started shouting up from the street below asking how big the room was, how much we PAID? (now that was embarrassing), so I put up the correct amount of digits by way of my fingers, and then the fucking idiot screamed out the cost, HEELLLOO, you stupid American loud mouth, shut up...god he obnoxious. To be honest the difference in price from our suite to a normal double room was only $20 so I'm sorry folks but in my mind, you gotta go for the suite.
We also (if you hadn't noticed) have the most amazing bathtub, I mean look at this thing? how is cool is this? And yes I did run a bath, but I didn't get that much hot water out, so only had a couple of inches, never mind.
Ok so I guess I should stop obssessing about our room.
So tonight we got ready, and walked over to Santino's restaurant hoping to still find him AND his restaurant still there. Alas no, the place is now a posh pizzeria, we did enquire as to Santino whereabouts and a nice young man told us that he'd sold up and moved on over 6 months ago....SHAME!!
To be honest it's just as well, because that last time we were here all we did was eat in his restaurant, so now we can go elsewhere.
We actually went to one called Fly which is right below our balcony which was kind of funny. Not a mad late night, bit shagged to be honest, so we had a nice meal, bottle of wine and retired in our luxurious, fabulous bed.
