So unfourtunately this morning Morpheus was in a funny mood, mainly because of the early check-out etc because it is rather annoying.

Anyhow we lay around and sulked for a while then he eventually checked himself out through the hotel tv, great invention. We were booked to turn up at the snowbiling tour place at midday, have an hours tour beginning at 1pm, be back for 2:30 and then leave for the train station at 3:45pm.

This seemed like an easy enough plan to me so we ordered breakfast, packed and layed around. Just before 11 (our throw out time) we called the Bell Captain to come get our bags to which he replied that he would be between 20 or 30 minutes, fine by us, so we just sat around the room until 11:45, worked out better than we thought.

So the snowmobiling place was pretty busy, of course we were slightly hesitant due to the previous disaster in France with those stupid guys. Anyhow we filled in the paperwork and were just about ready to put our helmets on when a bit of free entertainment occurred. This being by a big fat guy who had suddenly decided that he didn't want to do the snowmobiling anymore because of the so called deposit that you have to leave for $500. It's not taken from your credit card, but if your steal their bikes or damage them with safety etc then at least the owner of the snowmobiling place can get at least $500 back from his now wrecked bike that is actually worth $5000. Now for some reason this fat guy took exception to that and started at first reasonably to ask for his deposit back, which I'm not sure what it is but it's only a small fee I think and they do say on the phone that once you make the reservation you can't get that deposit back and it will be taken from your card. Yes that did piss me off a bit when I booked but if that's there policy then so be it. Anyway the owner a guy called Klaus (really pleasant bloke) told him this, of course the guy lost it then and started getting really shitty much to the mortification of his young son who was stood right by. Anyway this went on for a while, until the owner threatened that he get the police on this guy because he was disrupting his place and causing a problem in front of his client. The fat guy got even more annoyed and started name calling him, that's when Klaus called him a shit I think. So the fact faces us all and asks that we be witnesses when the police arrive because Klaus called him a shit, of course we all laughed and walked off. Eventually Klaus gave him back his deposit, just to get rid of him I think and that was it...all very entertaining.

So we got kitted up, watched a video on how to work the bikes and off we went. I must say Morpheus looked the part on his bike , you know like a James Bond baddie or something.

So off we went, around the nearest track just to get the hang of it, which I was glad about because the girl in front of me could or would not pick up speed so I was constantly riding the brake which was blowing out smoke EVERYWHERE. Eventually Klaus came out, pulled her to one side and we all went around her and followed the guide...thank god. However this joy for me didn't last long because the guy now in front of me was also a dip shit and kept braking all the time, never just riding along, he was so nervous. Literally the guy would pick up a bit of speed and then bam...he'd stop dead, so of course I had to brake hard which meant Morpheus had to brake hard, god it was sooo annoying.

But, we did have fun, we drove all the way up and across the mountain and eventually stopped to take in the view. By the way the far mountain behind us is Mount Washington if anybody's interested.

So that was it, we drove back down the mountain, very bumpily but having a blast and left.

We returned back to the hotel, both got ready, then of course Morpheus got into a foul mood which kind of ruined the weekend a bit but hey what can you do. The train journey back was very uneventful, and we finally pulled into Penn Station around 11pm, much later than we thought but glad to be back in the city.

When I got home my new sunglasses were waiting for me from Fredo which I am thrilled about. However the thought of all that laundry tomorrow doesn't fill me with any kind of excitement in the least.
