I just returned from Gourmet Garage laden with rotiserrie chicken and salad, plus some extra goodies for Morpheus because he's poorly and feeling sorry for himself.
So officially it's St Patricks Day tomorrow but New York decided to do the procession today (not sure why) and so now they're declaring it St. Patricks Day WEEKEND...yeah whatever.
So this weekend myself and Morpheus shall be keeping our heads down and not venturing too far from home. Hey I love the Irish, don't get me wrong but usually after a days session drinking pints they can get a little raucous, especially round the Brits we find.
So I'm staying home
I do feel very sorry though for whomever is bartending The Barrow tonight as I've just walked passed there and the place is packed, plus outside there was like 5 guys swaying and shouting about stuff...not pretty!!
So this morning we met up with Carl and Sumiko for brunch at "Blue Ribbon Bakery" which is great but I'm not that keen on their breakfast menu, eggs selection is crappy.
Last night we stayed in mainly because of me and the fact that I've been sociable quite enough lately and feel the need to stay close to home and not go out spending money and get wasted.
This is clearly much to the annoyance of Buddy Weiser as he wanted to play out this weekend, but I just can't do it and also the main man is still coughing and feeling generally low. You know he probably SHOULD of stayed home this week but I'm sure Morgan Stanley would of been a tad suspicious after taking a weeks vacation AND THEN staying off sick, nah sounds bad.
Oh yeah and Buddy Weiser has just dropped off (with our doorman) a can of Manchester United pasta in sauce, how cool??? Never going to eat the contents, instead I'm going to proudly place on my shelves so that everyone can see.
So we're helping Mary Ann and Professor move in to there apartment tomorrow, so in the morning I'm going to try and make some brownies for everyone. This will clearly amuse the girls as they know I'm not the cooking type but I really need to make a recipe out of that Nigella Lawson book so that it's not COMPLETELY wasted.
So this evening (whenver his lordship moves his lazy arse out of bed) we have rented "Sexy Beast" and "Don't Say A Word" the Michael Douglas movie. Not a bad selection me thinks, will let you know.
Happy St Patricks everyone, (even though he was actually born in England....so there).
