Well after my lovely lunch with the girls, the buzzer went about 3 or a bit after, and in comes ONE PIECE of my sectional, and guess what, that was it. I asked the delivery guys if they were going back downstairs to retrieve the rest of the couch, they just stared at each other and then told me that the piece they had just put down was all they had for me.
So as you would expect I said...."ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME" to which they both took one step back and lifted there arms to the ceiling, in that "hey we're just the delivery guys" kind of way...you know?
So after they left I called customer service and got some stupid fucking annoying woman on the phone who worked in the furniture warehouse department I think. So I tell her my dilemma, she's like, well we originally said 7 to 8 weeks and that's when the rest of my couch was going to come. Well you can imagine my reaction, I'm yelling down the phone at this woman, explaining that another woman had called on the tuesday and said that the couch was coming on thursday, so why just one piece. Then the bitch says that I should of asked this girl on the phone if ALL SECTIONALS were coming.
I'm like..."are you trying to be funny with me"? I mean when someone tells you your couch is coming you kind of FUCKING ASSUME that the whole thing is coming, not just one piece?????
Jesus fucking H christ.
OK so anyway Buddy Weiser told me to call the Soho store directly and speak to the manager, so I did, and yes they were very very helpful, couldn't believe that the woman told me I should of checked that all the sectionals were coming? literally they were really embarrassed about that one.
Anyway so to end this little tale, I now have a "temporary" couch, in fact I'm looking at it right now. It's a lend couch, until my new one comes, so now there's somewhere for people to sit. AND, when our new one comes, we then have to call back the Soho store of Pottery Barn and they will reimburse us the shipping charges and maybe more, to compensate for our inconvenience.
Cool huh?
So it all worked out, actually I have Buddy Weiser to thank as he was the one who told me to call the store and get someone to sort out this mess, and he was right, because they did.
So yeah our Pottery Barn experience is still good and firm, well, except for that stupid bitch at the warehouse. I should of asked if ALL the sectionals were coming? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
Actually it was really funny last night as Nicole came over for a little drinkie and laughed her ass off when she saw the one lone piece of couch smack bang in the middle of what seemed like a very empty living room. And it's her to thank for that nice little photo we have above of me and the lone piece of couch. I must say though, just that one piece as it is, is SOOOO COMFORTABLE. Oh my god when the rest of it comes I may just have to move downstairs permanently and sleep on it.
SO this is my last page for spraggworld for a while, as I'm off to Barbados tomorrow, can't wait, it's going to be a bizarre holiday, but I really don't give a rats ass, myself and Morpheus are going to have ourselves a little fun, oh yeah it's going to be great.
