So we ate, caught up a bit, then he left, he seemed a bit tired and cranky, so I walked him out and promptly walked straight over to my video store and go "The Day After Tomorrow" on DVD.
So I'm watching it, it's building up nicely and then BAM, I see Jay, yeah my pal Jay Sanders, who plays Tom I think? Dennis Quaids colleague and pal. Honestly I'm going to kill Jay when I see him as he never mentioned being in that movie and it's kind of a big movie? regardless of how much of a flop it was or wasn't? not sure, never read any of the reviews for it. But come on it's your classic disaster movie, my pal Davar agrees, you can't get better than the old shock movies, and the special effects are really good.
So yeah I was shocked and of course thrilled because even Jay in the past has had problems getting consistent work, so it was great to see him in a big movie, in quite a major role as well. So the next time I see the big lug at the gym, I'll be sure to go give him a hug, providing of course it's BEFORE his workout, because that man get really sweaty after a bike ride.
By the way I know you think I'm name dropping, but I'm not really, it's just Jay, I've known him for years just from the gym, he's the nicest guy around, no attitude, no cockiness, just a working actor with a wife and kid to support. So no judging right?
It was also very nice to see my pal Moranis on his rollerblades on Saturday. Looking good man. He was all sweat panted up, looking very warm and cosy, and I believe a little lighter than I've previously seen him, but he was having none of it, he's on a roll to rollerblade as often as is possible as the New York weather gets brisker by the day. You go Moranis, well done babe.
OK that's it for today, I'll see you later.
