Ok so yeah it's Stephen's big day. Well not really, I mean the IRS's big day the bastards, seeings as they're going to profit from whatever paintings are sold......Listen like Stephen says, "they WILL be out in the big world, one way or another, so it's all good".
Actually we have good news, last night, his friend Ivana, remember? who was over on Saturday? Well she called to confirm that she wants to buy one of his current pieces that we have here, namely Mother Nature, which is really my favorite, and I will be selfishly sad to see it go, but this is what it's all about people. Stephen making his art, and then it packs it's little rucksack and leaves the family home forever. Basically me and daddy see who comes up with the best dowry, and we make a deal.......yay!!. So yeah that's a nice chunk of money coming our way, and going directly towards our holiday in Panama...well that's what we're thinking, but hey who knows, that could very easily change.
So yeah that was a lovely phone call last night. Although I did feel that there was definitely a bit of tension still. Well he's obviously anxious about the auction today, not that he's going to be there, oh no, he's staying away, which I think is a good idea. But clearly he's worried that people will show, but then nobody will bid. Which yeah is crushing to one's artistic creativity, but I doubt that very much. To be honest I'm more worried that lots of people will bid, including our good friends and that they'll get some of his pieces for a fraction of what they're really worth, that is what's going to piss me off. Whatever, it is what it is. Hey at least the I.R.S. will be off his back, all done and sorted.
So yeah it was a bit tense last night, well I'm still feeling crappy with this fucking throat thing and I'm also due on, which always makes me overly sensitive and cranky. And Stephen was just nervous about today, so yeah it was a little odd last night, although my spaghetti bolognese was just divine, if I do say so myself.
Oh so I also got a call from Morpheus last night, who's just back from his vacation in Peru, and is now off today to London, so he wants to get this whole pension IRA thing organised, which is good, more money coming through, but that really does need to go into a savings account so tight, that even I can't get into it.
Right so with that, I'm off to the gym now, then going to go and get some sealant for these windows as it's seriously cold in here right now. Then back home, get ready and off to the auction. Wish Stephen luck and please, come by, come see what all the fuss is about.
