See look at the time? I'm at home, FINALLY doing this page on my new fantastic, super fabulous new lap top which is silver and looks totally cool....
Ok so our friend Paul mentioned this story that was in yesterday's New York Times which made me laugh. Basically the authorities in Nairobi seized from the italians over a ton of cocaine, this was back in 2004 and after long delays they decided to stuff the packets of powder (rather a lot you can imagine?) into a giant incinerator at a medical research centre. So instead of doing this quietly, they invited local politicians, diplomats, AND the Italian prisoners who were caught moving the cocaine to the site to witness the incineration.
HOWEVER as the fire roared, one of two incinerators exploded bringing the whole thing to a halt and sending tons of burnt cocaine up and out into the air.
Lots of happy happy locals in Nairobi right now.
So last night James, Gloria and Paul came over for supper and to see and toast our new apartment downstairs. I am happy to say that they all loved it and thought it was a wonderful space. We took champagne downstairs and had fun looking at our brand new empty space. I had two very small glasses which of course went straight to my head, I was very giggly....
I mean it's weird that I should care what my friends think of our new place, but I do, can't help myself...I guess I just wanted someone else to say..."yeah this is great, you made the right decision".
God the TO DO list is getting longer and longer by the day...but that's ok, I'm not THAT busy at work right now, which is worrying but there's not an awful lot I can do about it, so I go in, do around 4 hours work (which I have to stretch out sometimes) then I'm out, but right now that's fine, because I can start packing up stuff and throwing stuff out and maybe even getting some sun, seeing as the weather today and tomorrow is supposed to be fabulous. Actually I had to laugh yesterday as my pal Tracy is back from Portugal, and of course she's probably got a wonderful tan, but already yesterday she was on the roof deck sunning herself, which is probably where she'll stay for the rest of the Summer. I worry about that girl sometimes, I think she may eventually go completely potty in the sun. Actually she came up with a good idea yesterday regarding her doing some murals for the baby's room and me doing her website? Sounds like a plan? although I'd hate to drag her from the pool side to make her work on the babies room....hee hee.
So I was going to go and get spray tanned today, just because I feel pale right now and obviously a little heavy with my bump and all, but I,ve had to pay for the ultra sonic pest control machine instead which I got off EBay. Well I figure it's good to get for the new place as well as it will keep mice and cockroaches away......
Right well I'll be off then, off to the gym, not been since Sunday. By the way does anyone know anything about tingly feeling in legs??? Most evenings and sometimes in the middle of the night I wake up and have a weird tingly feeling in my leg or both legs which drives me nuts. It's almost like I need to really stretch them out, which I try to do by putting them flat against the ceiling (tree style bed loft remember?), and sometimes that works, but then I guess I just pass right out eventually, but i's really frustrating.
Anyway if anyone knows what this is let me know yeah?
