Actually you know what I had a really good time. Oh guess I let the cat out of the bag, yeah little Snoopy is having a baby to which is FABULOUS I'm so happy for her and Professor and equally pleased that the both of us are having our first child together which is totally nerve racking, but doing it with a good girlfriend is sooo much better. She isn't due until Feb, so hopefully I'll be able to help her with her fears as of course I will be super-mom by then....hee hee.
Anyway getting back to the yoga class...LOVED one of the sitting positions, basically you get your blocks, put them in an L shape, then get your bolster, rest that on the blocks, then you get like a mexican blanket which you wrap around your ankles. Then you lie back with legs open, very unlady like and just relax....OH MY GOD IT'S FRIGGIN WONDERFUL. Oh god I totally passed out, the teacher had to raise her voice slightly to wake me the fuck up. Then of course there's the usual warrior and downward dog poses which luckily I remembered from years ago. It was actually pretty strenuous, and some of the stretching positions she had me and Snoopy in were just laughable, as there was NO FRIGGIN WAY my legs were going back around that way....NOT A CHANCE.
Actually at one point I nearly farted, I had to use ALL OF MY CONCENTRATION to squeeze that one back up as there was no way I was getting caught doing that. I couldn't stop laughing though, even my son started moving around very fast, I think he was laughing as well.
The only thing I HATE about yogites is the bloody seriousness to the whole thing, oh god at one point she had us in a resting position, hands clasped together in prayer position, then she told us to open our mouths wide, let our tongues drop out, stare at the sky and go....bllllllaaaaaahhhhhh, something like that anyway. Well I took a sneaky peek at everyone else and nearly fell out of my prayer position, I literally had to bite HARD down on my lower lip to stop from pissing myself laughing. Snoopy wouldn't even look at me, as I always make her giggle, and we didn't want to get told off.
I know I'm bad, like a silly little child, but I can't help it, I just get the giggles......it's because I feel silly doing a lot of the chants and breathing techniques.
But I will be going back, as I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was good to spend some time with Snoopy.
So after that of course I decided to show up at Dublin 6 where my angel was, happily pissed by that time, with Tim, Tracy, Gloria, James and their lovely son Plug. Well he's there new puppy, but they refer to him as their son...whatever.
And yes I had a lovely lovely glass of Rose, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't quite realise how pumped up I was after my class, good grief I was jumping around like a nutter, very enthused and full of energy, which was great as that doesn't happen a lot these days. What with the shitty weather and all, I've been really lethargic, but not last night.
Anyway so I came home, had some salad, watched Project Runway....HATE JEFFREY, he's such a dick that guy. Then Stephen came home all lovely and drunk, and then we crashed, a lovely evening had by all.
Actually it was great to see Tim, he's off to Juba, Southern Sudan in a couple of weeks on 6 month assignment through the United Nations to be their official photographer. Yes it's dangerous and I would by lying if I said I wasn't worried about him, but this is what he's always wanted a gig like this to learn from, gain experience in and have it documented in a way that only he can promise, so we're really happy for him, but if he doesn't keep himself safe I'M GONNA KILL HIM, never mind the locals.
Right then well I also now have dates etc for Stephen's show in Redbank, NJ....It would be great if you guys could pass the word, and if you DO know anybody out in New Jersey then tell them to come along, it will be a fun night and if they don't fancy looking at great art, they can always view the fat cow in the corner ready to give birth....yeah that would be moi.

Ok so there's the information for you, we're crossing our fingers for a good turn out, but we're really excited about the show. Now just need to try and organise a bus to take everyone out there from the city. Must get on that...
Right then I have Stephen's website to update...check back tomorrow for the new page, then I gotta get to work.
Have a great day everyone...
