So of course yesterday morning we looked out the window to see everywhere totally blanketed in a beautiful white marshmallow way, just beautiful it was.
I love to look at the snow, not keen being in it, but I did offer to go get cat food and extra bits and bobs. I would of liked Stephen to stroll with me, but he wasn't having any of it. So yeah off I went, trudging through the snow, not far mind you, just up to D'Agastino's. What I always love about fresh snow and it's impact is the neighborhood dogs, they just can't get over it. They sniff it in absolute awe and amazement and find themselves rolling in it (I'm sure much to the annoyance of their owners?) and just lapping it up. They really do look like their smiling and just happy to be out and about...
Then of course they'res the kids who drag their parents out first thing in the morning to go sledding or just stomping in it with their small wellington boots on. Yeah I do love the initial response that snow gets, but then after a few days everyone, including the dogs and kids, just look miserable and fed up with the whole mess.
Actually I bumped into a Scottish lady today, I've seen her around the neighborhood, a most bizarre woman, with the weirdest walk and oddest hair I've seen in a while, but nice enough. Anyway she's a nanny over here and as I was walking to 11th Street i saw her trying desperately to get the baby stroller over this fucking great big mound of snow????
So of course I stop to help, but kind of mention to her that a pathway had been cleared of snow and maybe she should try that way instead? "Oh right yeah, thanks" she says....
Alright then lady, jeez.
So I've just suddenly dropped, like my energy level as totally plummeted/ Not sure what it is? then again I was awake at 7:30 after a very dodgey night's sleep. Lily was up and about for most of the night, then she starting puking up, NOT A GOOD SIGN. Guess we need to call the vet's again, get her in, see what they say. I wish Stephen would do it though, hate calling them, makes me really anxious.
So what else? well debs is here, she's out with office people tonight and we were supposed to get together tomorrow, but it's valentines innit? I was going to cook a nice dinner for Stephen and stuff. Well I'll email her, see what she says. Don' really want to leave the poor love on her own for Valentine's though? Her boyfriend doesn't arrive until Friday...
Apparently Hallmark invented Valentine's Day? Cheeky buggers, I mean things aren't expensive enough in this city without charging friggin $50 for 3 sodden roses.
Supposed to be meeting Tim tonight for a drink, well we haven't seen him since he got back from Haiti and he has all these pictures to show us. Maybe I'll meet him later on for a pint in the pub, just a couple of course. I really want to hear how his journey was, what he saw, experienced etc. He ALWAYS has good tales does our Tim.
Right well I had a funny little tale, but for the love of me I can't remember? Sorry my head is minced right now, can' think, practically falling asleep in my chair.
Oh yeah really got into The Family Guy last night, funny as fuck. Love that show, really sick, brilliant....
