He's such a cutie....look at him, so vain, so very proud...
Actually I'm guessing that while the dog show was on last night, was while we were watching the Nova show on Amber, narrated by David Attenborough (LOVE HIM). Basically it was all about amber, pine tree sap basically that drips down the bark of trees and quite often traps a fly or a mosquito. Basically scientists have been analysing them for years, to see if in actual fact DNA could be extracted from one to re-produce a species from millions and millions of years ago. Although towards the end of the programme it did seem that it was rather unlikely, but Attenborough's enthusiasm throughout the programme regarding amber was extraordinary. Actually his is a really good story. Basically when he was 12 he met another 12 year old girl, a german girl that was being helped by an English family during the start of World War I. Anyway she gave him a good size piece of amber and inside it are different fleas and flies. It's really quite amazing. Anyway this got Attenborough interested in the whole amber stone and how he could learn more. it's funny that he did actually mention the interesting fact that his brother Richard Attenborough played a scientist who extracted DNA from Amber to reproduce the Jurassic Park animals. I thought that was kind of cool, one an actor who is playing make believe and the other a scientist who actually thinks they're might be a genuine link to the theme of the movie.
Anyway it was really interesting and we watched it very happily while we were gobbling down a gorgeous juicy steak with potatoes and asparagus...yummy. I also got the most amazing bunch of burnt peachy coloured roses with a beautiful grass spray that fanned out behind them. Just lovely...he's a sweetheart my Stephen.
So we were SUPPOSED to take Lily to be put down today, but after talking about it last night we just don't feel right about taking her to a place where basically she will be killed. It didn't sit well with me and it certainly didn't sit well with Stephen. Trouble is I don't know what to do now? I mean Stephen reckons she's still got life in her and that she'd rather pass away at home? but to what expense, she doesn't eat? can't get the pills down her neck and now she's starting barfing a bit, so it's not good, but then the way she looks at her dad, it's just adorable, she truly adores that man and that's what's stopping him from doing it. Anyway the vet is calling him today and he will tell her EXACTLY what the situation is and she will give him her assessment and hopefully help us in our decision making....
Alright well I'm going to go and have some of my yummy caesar salad......then later I'm heading to the gym, didn't go this morning, so need to.....got a lot on my mind right now, need to think...
