I hate it, and I'm soooo not looking forward to meeting up with Stephen at the vet's later, but obviously I can't let Stephen handle this by himself, I mean he's really upset, shit he's had her for over 14 years.
And yes I hate to say it, as it seems wrong, but I really really want another cat, preferably a little cute kitten. The apartment has always had cats and it's companionship for us, yes even for Stephen, he's great with cats, big softie that he is. However he's adamant that he doesn't want any more cats, say;s he's had enough of the hair etc, which I guess is true. I'm just kinda hoping he'll change his mind???
So the weekend was fun. On Friday we went to Mark and Elizabeth's for dinner, which was interesting as Elizabeth called and told Mark that she definitely needed Watercress to go with the pork dish, so off we went to Christede's to get the bloody Watercress in the sodding FREEZING weather. God it was cold on Friday. So yeah we had a fun night with them, the food was delicious and she made banana fritters for dessert...yum yum.
So then Saturday I hit the gym, Stephen began his new painting which is gonna be fab. Oh which reminds me, Charlotte from Redbank Gallery in New Jersey where he's been part of a collaboration of others artist exhibition for years, popped round. She totally flipped out when she saw his new fish series and wants him to do a SOLO EXHIBITION this Summer! Isn't that fab? I'm so proud of him, it's gonna be great, so of course information and shit loads of press releases will be sent regarding that show...
So yeah then Saturday we both got dressed up and went round to Coco and Sean's on Jane Street for dinner. What a fun night, they're friends who are sisters, Elizabeth and Jennifer also came round and what a giggle we had. Of course everyone was in jeans and even Coco's hair was still wet when we got there, but I'd decided to wear my black wrap dress with fishnet's and high heels. Listen it won't be long before I'm too fat to get into these clothes, so screw it, I'm gonna wear them as much as I can.
Anyway that was a really fun night, lots of good stories and great food.
Unfortunately after we got home Stephen decided that it was necessary for him to stay up until the wee hours of the morning, too much tequila you know? so we had rather a few words yesterday, but have now sorted it all out.
Actually yesterday I was pretty cranky so I hit the gym, then met James and Gloria in Boxer's for brunch. Now even though it was bollocks freezing yesterday Gloria was itching to do something with the day, so they called and got afternoon matinee tickets to see "Barefoot in the Park" with cutie Amanda Peets in it. It was so sweet of them to think of me, they're great friends, and they knew I was in a funky mood, so they got me a ticket.
It was good, not brilliant, but entertaining....it ran a bit long for my taste, but then again theatre's always make me fidgety and they're ALWAYS bloody freezing, mainly to keep everyone awake.
So yeah that ended those two continued shopping at Macy's and I went home. Nice enough evening, although we were both freezing on the couch, even with the central heating on...
Busy busy day today, another new guy has started today called Derek. Nice guy, he's sitting right behind me, so I haven't got my room to myself anymore, but that's ok.
Oh god I'm dreading the vet's and poor Stephen is going to be beside himself tonight. Think he may well need a good stiff drink afterwards....poor baby.
Later.
