God this sucks, bloody Marla's kid gave me her cold....aaarrgghhh. Whatever I have to email Aphrodite and see what I can chug down my throat that doesn't mess with my wee little one and that zaps this thing out, pronto.
Friggin getting ill THE WEEK OF ME GIVING BIRTH.....are you friggin kidding me with this???
I wouldn't mind but I NEVER get ill, like I cannot remember the last time I had a cold or a sniffle......years and years ago probably.
Ok well the weekend was fun. On Friday we had Gloria, James, Tracy, Coco and Sean round for dinner. Just a simple pasta dish with lashings of red wine. Gloria and James brought they're dog Plug who loves this place, runs around like a nutter.
Everyone was on great form, especially Gloria who tried to pretty much hump everything, including me until I asked please not to as I didn't want her to flop on me and break the baby.
She was funny, but by 11 I'd had enough of them all so threw them out. It was a fun night, and everyone LOVED the apartment, James even said it looked like something from Architectural Digest.....I could of kissed him for saying that.
So yeah we had a giggle, then Saturday Stephen got some painting done and I decided to wash all of my son's clothes. Well Coco and Tracy both said that this is what I should do, to get all the plastic wrapping products off them blah blah blah. To be honest I thought it was a bit daft and my mother....oh my god she just laughed down the phone, said that all Americans were nutters, but if that's what I wanted to do then I should go ahead. Anyway Aunty Bebe had already bought him his own hamper basket, so I totally filled that and lugged it downstairs to the basement. Friggin thing was heavy man, my god I didn't realise quite how many clothes my son already has, yeah good for him. I'd also bought, thanks to Robyn some baby like detergent from the store, well I didn't know which to get and she happened to be there shopping for her family so I asked her.
I must say I had a fabulous time taking out all of his clothes from their wrappings and putting them in the hamper, it took me forever because I kept going ooooh and aw, but it was fun for me. No doubt that will be the LAST TIME that's it's fun for me I'm sure.
Ok so we ate out at Dublin 6, an early dinner, watched the world walk by on what was a lovely sunny afternoon. Then Saturday night I started feeling a bit achy etc, so Stephen drew me a bath, WITH lots of smelly stuff and he also lit some small candles for me, so the room looked fantastic. He also poured us both a small glass of champagne and sat at the side of the tub with me for a bit. Isn't that just too adorable and romantic, I'm such a lucky girl, it was great.
So yesterday Stephen made the dresser...yay. Oh which reminds me the visit to Target was great, BUT I didn't get the crib, nope they didn't have it at the North Bergen store and also when i got a nice young man to go check, he came back saying that none of the stores in and around NJ had it in, so I guess I'll have to go online and get it after all....bugger. Hey listen I have ONE PIECE of furniture, which makes me happy. So yeah Stephen put the dresser together, so now it's done, WITH all my sons clothes in and the thing is pretty much jammed full already.
So I'm going to try and see as many people as I can this week, because who knows how it will be after my son arrives. He c ould come this Thursday which is the due date, well basically anywhere between this thursday and the following Tuesday is his due date, BUT he could be late, so I'd like to try and see my pals this week. Which reminds me I'm supposed to be having lunch with Morpheus today? I'll email him in a bit. Oh yeah and this Thursday we're having dinner with Sabina and Dwane which is great, but I think Dwane's a little worried that I might drop the kid in his kitchen....hee hee.
Alright then well guess I'll shower and get out of here, it's a lovely day, so if I don't do lunch with Morpheus then I'm going to go and have a pedicure then go eat a sandwich out on the West Side Highway....lovely, hey gotta to get out and about and have me time before the wee one arrives wouldn't you agree?
Sorry for those Yankees fans, but I'm happy for the Mets, hope they make it to the World Series...that would be very cool and maybe that would mean that in the future the New York Post AND The Daily News would give them the coverage that they deserve. It's terrible the way the Yankees totally dominate those papers...very unfair.
Later people.
